Occupational Fraud 2024: A Report to the Nations

Analyzing data from 1,921 actual fraud cases spanning 138 countries and territories, the 13th edition of the ACFE's biennial report offers essential guidance on how fraud is committed and the most effective ways to detect it. The report provides an analysis of 1,921 real cases of occupational fraud investigated between January 2022 and September 2023 that were committed in 138 countries and territories, spanning 22 distinct industry categories. The cases involve frauds committed within a variety of organizations including governmental entities and perpetrated by employees at all levels of the organizations.
